Chocolates Garoto has been on the market for decades, being originally from Espírito Santo, more precisely from the city of Vila Velha. To this day, the company's headquarters are maintained in the municipality of Espírito Santo, which is a source of pride for the population.
Founded in 1919 by Heinrich Meyerfreund, Garoto is one of the 10 largest chocolate producers in the world, being the top 1 in Latin America. Its portfolio of more than 70 products is sold in several countries.
It is worth mentioning that Chocolates Garoto was sold in 2002 to Nestlé, however its board remained in control of the factory located in Vila Velha. In 2014, the brand partnered with FIFA/CBF to be the official chocolate for the World Cup.
