Back in 2007 when the franchise was launched, its arrival did not receive the attention it deserved. The game brought elements that were “common” to other titles, it was beautiful, it brought some innovations in terms of gameplay and some other new features, but nothing that had not yet been seen in that generation of games. Would the saga of the assassins be just another one and would be forgotten among so many famous series? However, until it arrived in Assassin's Creed Revelations, a long way has been traveled.
In a short time, the assassins showed that their saga was different, even with several errors needing to be corrected in the first game, lack of subtitles and repetitive gameplay, the producer invested even more in the franchise, expanded its universe, brought a new protagonist to continue the battle against the Templars.
Years passed and the new protagonist full of charisma, Ezio Auditore da Firenza, came pulling an entire saga of battles, the franchise has already won 3 titles for consoles and a portable version.

Unlike its predecessor Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, the game gets it right from the start, making it clear that this is not an expansion to Assassin's Creed II. The game presents itself as a new adventure for our hero Ezio Auditore. Years have passed since his adventures in his homeland of Italy, and the much more experienced protagonist sets out on what is his final mission as head of the Assassins.
Ezio travels to Syria, more precisely to the city of Masyaf, a city known as the operational base of the Assassin Order. The most attentive fans already know the importance of this place for the saga, Masyaf is the setting of the first game in the franchise, there Altair, the skilled assassin, lived and built his story. Arriving there, our Italian has the sad surprise of seeing the territory taken over by Templars. Ezio needs reinforcements.
A short trip and we arrive in Constantinople, currently we know the place as Istanbul, unlike Italy from the previous games, we have the streets of this great city as the setting. There Ezio will get to know a totally new world and obviously new enemies, but also allies.
LATEST RELEASE
The setting itself is already a big novelty, but there are also changes in the gameplay. There are no major changes in the basics, that is, we continue to climb buildings, jump from one roof to another, run for miles, not to mention Ezio's ability, which now more experienced is even more skillful, more fluid and more deadly. Ubisoft, not satisfied, introduced another element and it's a good thing they did.
For those who are more attached to the story, they will have to say goodbye to the beloved Leonardo Da Vinci. Unfortunately, the painter stayed in Italy, but as his replacement, the development team chose Piri Reis, a well-known historical figure who doesn't have the charisma or recognition of Leo, but still adds to the story. Piri gives Ezio the ability to create and manipulate bombs, which can be deadly or just for distraction. Speaking of historical characters, Altair is also playable, making the game even more dynamic.
In Constantinople, the Assassins' Order is also revolutionary. Ezio is given some new "accessories" for his maneuvers. His Assassin friend gives him a hook-shaped blade. This new piece of equipment makes the game even more fun. It can be used in combat, as well as to climb up to a rooftop more quickly, or to descend on improvised ziplines on the city's rooftops. Other gameplay innovations make the game independent from its predecessors, reaffirming that this title is a story of its own.
Other changes
Here we have a controversial point, this new feature divides many opinions, the Tower Defense mode was added, for fans more connected mainly to mobile will identify with and probably like the new feature a lot. This new mode is a game mode in Revelations.
You are placed on top of your hiding places that need to be defended from Templar invasions, there is no great mystery in how it works, the player in the shoes of Ezio works as the cursor and positions the defense troops, and also the barriers to delay the enemy advance, however, the protagonist also participates in the defense.
Em Assassin's Creed: Revelations, the origins are not forgotten, that is, we have the presence of Desmond Miles, this character is responsible for connecting us with his assassin ancestors and telling us this saga. Desmond has a fundamental role in this title, inserting more gameplay.
Continuing the final minutes of Brotherhood, for the most curious we will not reveal what happens, but Desmond is trapped in a kind of limbo inside the Animus itself, a machine that connects past and future, in this “limbo” we still have a character who tries to disrupt the life of the protagonist of the present.
In this place where Desmond was transported, it is still possible to enter portals and go through labyrinths. Another new feature is that these adventures are done in first person. For those who already turned up their noses, don't worry because this game mode is optional, but it provides a more complete experience of Assassin's Creed: Revelations.

Multiplayer
The game also has a very fun multiplayer mode. At the time, it was possible to play with assassins from all over the world, in a place where the smartest and most sneaky came out as the winner of the various modes. However, nowadays few people connect to the network and the mode is no longer used. However, those who had the opportunity today consider themselves masters of whispers.
Final Blow
On the plus side, the game's menus are entirely in Portuguese and we also have subtitles in our native language, not Portuguese from Portugal, but rather our idiotic native language. Despite losing many of the Italian slang, jokes and expressions, due to the difference in vocabulary, being able to follow the entire game makes the experience much more enjoyable.
Something that cannot go unnoticed is the graphic beauty of Revelations, certainly the most beautiful game in the franchise. The scenarios were so detailed that sometimes we find ourselves doubting whether it is really a game. Ezio was very well represented and masterfully voiced, but all the other characters besides being human manage to have their own characteristics.
Conclusion
Assassin's Creed Revelations It is an excellent ending to the saga of Altair and Ezio. Unfortunately, we are saying goodbye to the characters. Ubisoft has already guaranteed the presence of a new protagonist in the next stories. With even better gameplay, exuberant graphics, and a multiplayer mode that is far above average, Assassin's Creed offers a great experience. Some people would say that this is the best game in the franchise. The game is not recommended for those who are just starting their assassin journey. So grab your ticket and embark on this journey. To understand where we are going, we need to know where we came from.
